As part of our Green Pact strategy, we strive to minimize the loss of raw materials and products, focusing on an efficient production method. A great example of this is our color transitions.
Our product range includes a wide variety of colors for many items. During the production process, we transition smoothly from one color to another without stopping the production line, ensuring optimal efficiency.
These transitions often result in products with unique and vibrant color combinations, all in perfect condition. While these items cannot be sent to our customers, they are never discarded. Instead, they find a meaningful purpose through donations to charity organizations.
At the end of last year, we made a generous donation to Greater Good Charities. This U.S.-based organization, which recently expanded its operations to Europe, collected a selection of these items for immediate use in areas of need.
Here are some of the stories and photos we received from them:
Lisa,
was found in a state of severe health distress by a local fisherman in Calabria. After being brought to our partners, she was treated for multiple conditions, including pancreatitis and rhinotracheitis. Currently recovering in Rome under the care of our veterinary nurse, Lisa still faces an eye issue, entropion, that may require surgery. Lisa, like many other animals, is getting fed in bowls provided from our donation.
Kali,
a sweet Chihuahua-like dog, was rescued from a garage in the Scampia district of Naples, where many families have had to leave their homes due to demolition. Kali is now receiving treatment in the clinic in Rome and is looking for a loving family to adopt her. She is resting in a Domus bed.
Sasha,
a pregnant dog who had been living in a car garage, gave birth to puppies during our Emergency Unit operations in Scampia. Sasha and the puppies were transferred to safety in Rome, where they are being cared for in a safe and warm environment. Soon, when the puppies are old enough, they’ll be ready to find their forever homes as well. These puppies and the mother are resting in a Domus bed provided from our donation.
We are proud that our sustainability efforts can also support such meaningful causes.
